Hives

I'm so stressed, I think I may just break out in hives. However lovely it has been seeing friends, family yada yada, it has not come at a good time in my life. I have never been so scared, or unproductive, for an exam. 3 WEEKS exactly. In 3 weeks I will be wanting to kill myself I'll be so nervous. I think I may do some more studying now. There is no such thing as too much studying. Those experts are all wrong, too much study is good. Good I tell you *starts rocking back and forth in a fetal position*..........Will post photos when I get back to the sunny shores I call home.

79 and a half more hours

Yes, that's how long until I get off this island. 8:00 flight to London City on Wednesday, 21:00 from Heathow to Cape Town, and then happy, fun drinkiness with the favourite people. Oh, apart from the waves of excitement, I have interspersed waves of nausea a) because my exam is in 1month minius 6 hours and 32minutes which I feel under prepared for and b) I applied for a new job, which ironically was emailed to me by my supervisor. It's for a trainee biomedical scientist, which would be my dream come true. They'll pay for my studies, whilst I work and study on the island (which I'm doing anyway out of my own pocket), plus I get a foot into the science world on the island (which is V hard to get into, 'cause there isn't much goin' on here in terms of sciency stuff), and they pay me a salary. So this is my plea to everyine to keep fingers, toes and everything else crossed. No idea when I find out, so I'll be prepared for a good few nerve-wrecking weeks.

We won!

It's official, England have won the Ashes. Ever since my dear friend Caroline and I ditched the Barbie dolls and donned the cricket trading cards I've been hooked. I've also had to switch my allegiance from South Africa to England, but at the moment I'm not too bothered about that. We'll see what happens when there's a SA vs Eng match.

So tired

I'm at that stage where I'm so tired, I can't sleep. I'm only 3 days into my studying, and it seems to be taking so long to get things done, with sessions going well into the night. By well into the night, I mean at 10:30 (I'm usually crashed out by then). I think I'll go over some more exam papers to boost my confidence. As soon as I look at the reems and reems of notes I've made, I wonder how much of it is relevent, or even accurate to the text book, the past exam papers seem to give me hope. You can't ask that much in a 3 hour exam, can you?
