One word of advice....
....don't make yourself indispensable at work, it'll only haunt you..Also, tomorrow is Friday, and that is always a good thing. It also means I have to iron some clothes, which I better go do now.

Listen to her she knows of what she speaks! You'll hear people say things like "Secure your position in your job by making yourself indispensable." don't believe it, translation, "Learn how to do everything so I can ask you to do it and I don't have to."
3000+ training tasks I've had to pound out, organize, disseminate to other shops, and ensure they complete them in time over the last 6 months. Forgetting entirely that for those 6mths I had people barging into my office asking, "How do I..?", "What do I...?", "Can you show...?", etc. Whats my thanks for it all when things finally wind down?
Upper Managment: We're going to be moving several shops together and seperating others, we'll need a new training template for all the tasks.
Me: You mean you'd like me to wipe the slate clean and start over from scratch?
U.M.: Precisely, we'll need new tasks outlining the duties of the newly formed shops.
Me: /em Grabs Mallet of Noggin' Knockin' and pops U.M. on the head. -Flushes 6 months of life-
And there ya have it. Sorry, totally ranted in Kat's rant, my bad... hot topic!
