mmm.....zooooshi II
Fridays are fun. I love them, they have their own smell. They used to smell of cola, and stairwells that have just been disinfected, but now I can add to that array the smell of chlorine. Went swimming again yesterday, and had a ball again. I did 100m more in 5min less than I did the last time, so progress is being made. I went to the annual geek societies pub quiz after my swimming session, which was rather amusing to say the least. After this we ventured off for the late night screening of Hot Fuzz. I am a fan of Simon Pegg, and this movie was funny, but I think it would have been better if it didn't end at 1:45am!
I gave up chocolate for Lent, and yes, I have not yet let chocolate pass my lips, and intend for it to not for the next 40 days. So, on my quest to make my life hard (as I most often do), I was looking at biscuits that did not contain chocolate, trying to figure out which ones appealed most - and I stumbled upon this. OMG I laughed so hard, and then started drooling uncontrollably. To be honest, the most appealing thing there was the giant makizushi <3.....mmmmm zoooooshi. Awesomness + 1 for whoever started that Pimp my snack venture. This is my favourite one
Anyways, work to do, people to annoy. It's a Saturday afterall =) Happy weekend!

yay for v-day
Gifts, flowers, chocolate, love and little kittens. Oh did I mention 3 HOUR CHEMISTRY PRACTICALS THAT ACTUALLY RUN FOR 3 FREAKING HOURS. Meh! They always finish in half the time, but not today, oh no. Good thing is we had to finish our reports in session, so no chem write ups for me this weekend. Instead I get to actually writing up about fat people. More to follow on that story as it gets exciting....or not.
Been ever so productive workwise, and I went for a swim on Saturday morning, albeit being slightly still full of alcohol at 8 in the morning. It was amazing. I forgot how incredible it was. Going again Friday, and Saturday morning, and I shall fit in a Wednesday session too hopefully. Huzzah, huzzah

Um...so I got my chemistry result today. I got 83%. Somehow I feel sad. I'm going to try figure out what's going on in my head right now.

Hmmms and aaaaahhhhs
So, my world is just peachy at the moment, barring a few minor glitches on the health front (damn you Ula, damn you and your Chinese chicken flu). Firstly, on the health front. I feel mighty frumpy and untoned and just altogether rubbish, because, week 5 into my semester, and I STILL HAVEN'T GONE TO THE GYM, but I have been under the weather, and currently sound like a seal that is barking for fish, although I'm not barking for fish, merely coughing up a lung. I do hope I start to feel better, as I have an awful lot of work to get through at the moment.
On the study front, things are awesome, again, barring a few minor glitches. I have 2 out of my 3 grades back from the December exams, and what do you know, I got A's. I was pretty chuffed when I got my A for biology, but I was secretly expecting it as I knew I aced my exam, but for PHYSICS....that was a shock and a half. I had drugged myself up with some concoction the local chemist had given me (he resembled an old wizard not to be trusted) to take away the searing pain slicing down the one side of my face, and so had to double check to see if my eyes were not deceiving me. I'm still waiting on chemistry, and I'm a bit worried about that mark, as I either did really well, or really not so well. We'll see.
All other aspects of my life are going just dandy too, apart from the social life. That could do with a bit of a rehashing. Nevertheless, I'm very happy at the moment, even though I feel awful and am hacking up my lungs^^ I also gave myself one of my custom haircuts that I do every now and then, this time with nail scissors! Not far off from those haircuts my mom used to give me, but hey...asymmetry is still in, right?
"Scuse the shell shocked look, but this built-in isight doesn't give you a warning or anything, Was on my way out as well, i don't usually dress up like a tart to swan around the house =D Well, not often >>
By the way: Bloc Party ~ The Prayer . Listen to it. It's the most awesome track of this year by far. The whole album is awesome

Big hairy pants
Today was the first day in ~ 120 lectures that I actually missed one. Big hairy pants to that! It wasn't through lack of wanting to as well, it's this stupid Chinese Bird flu that I have acquired from my dear friend Ula. I am stuck in bed with a snotty nose, but I have completed my report and submitted, and I did drag myself out of bed with the incentive of going to the chemist, walked straight past it and went to my tutorial and afternoon lecture instead. Pure dedication I tell you. Pure dedication.
