holiday antics
It's been a while. I've been so busy with holidays and sorting out life stuffs that I just haven't the energy to sit down and properly update this thing. I have made myself a cup of tea, got a couple of blocks of chocolate, and shall update accordingly.
Firstly, got all my marks back from my exams. I got 6/6 A grades, so am well chuffed about that. Let's just hope the trend conitnues into subsequent years. The holiday is going well, albeit lack of internets, and so lack of contact with friends. I miss playing FFXI too. I stopped just before exams, didn't play much in the States, and, well, my pc didn't have internets when I got back from holiday (something to do with the network cable, it doesn't like the wireless). Now I'm back on holiday, which is getting a bit bland now, and well, lack of internet equates to lack of gaming...something I would love to be doing right now as Age of Empires III -The Warchiefs just isn't doing it for me (I'm sure I finished it last time I was here). Luckily my dad has taken 3 days off this week, so I won't be completely alone at home.
Had my hair done yesterday. It is funkilicious. Chocolate brown with random chunks of blonde. It's the blondest the hairdresser has ever taken it, almost bordering on white. I like the contrast though. They were so excited to have someone in that wanted to experiment a bit, as they are used to the usual SA highlights and blow dry. Had a cute little fringe cut as well. Will post photos when I get back and can be arsed to blowdry it.
All and all, so far so good. Caught up with old school friends, and the usuals. Had a wicked night out last Saturday which resulted in me insulting many a person. Shouting at the top of my lungs in response to seeing a very underweight barmaid "So there really are starving children in Africa" wasn't the best of ways to get served. Sticking my fingers into some girl's big blonde beehive didn't bode well either (curiosity will get this kat killed someday)
Otherwise, feeling a bit cold and under the weather. A cold front has moved in, so it's back to the winter storms. We had a few lovely days leading up to the weekend, but they have now been surpassed by the gloom.
Hopefully I will have more adventures to tell after Caroline's birthday...should be a winner with hopefully some incriminating photos =)

Airports..../sigh
Sitting at Heathrow waiting to board yet another flight. So many in one week. Off to ZA for a short vacation, and to be honest, I am now sick of vacationing. My brain has turned to mush, and is getting worse as each mundane, non-mind-challenging day goes by. My trip to America was superb. I did so much, and with the person I most wanted to be with. A few things we managed to accomplish were ~
Arctic Monkeys in Philadelphia
Hershey Chocolate World and Theme Park
New York CIty
Walks along the Quartz Trail and up Hawk Mountain
Playing Metal Slug 1 through 6, and some Mario Kart
Sneaking in to relatives gardens when they weren't home to use their pool
Seeing Pirates and Spiderman 3 (what a let down =/, the Venom storyline was too short)
Going out to dingy bars
I can't think of much else, and we probably didn't do all that much exciting. Who comes home with a highlight of spending near on 2 hours in Walmart amazed by the size of things >_<
Anyways, trip to ZA should be good. I shall be catching up with mates and such. Alas, there is no internets, so I may be a bit on the meh side. Well, there are internets, but not proper ones (aka ones with 8mb download..hell I'll be surprised if I find anything over 0.5mb). Leaving America was hard enough, and now I'm plunging myself into the deepest, darkest realms of no internets. What's a girl to do.
Pictures of US trip are posted on Facebook. I'm too lazy to post them anywhere else, and Facebook is the easiest, so if you want to see piccies, you have to sign up.
Anyways, I'm going to raid the wine in the Business Class lounge now. Duty free didn't seem as exciting as it usually does, so I resorted to plonking myself down here.
Happy days

Teh sads
I leave for back home tomorrow after an amazing three weeks with Kyle. I've met so many brilliant people, seen beautiful landscapes, and got to do things that I usually am unable to. People take for granted how lucky they are to be able to look across a room and smile at the person they most care for. We have taken so much pleasure from the simple things. My favourite part of my trip was standing in the middle of Time Square, hugging Kyle with my eyes closed. It felt as if there was no one else there but us. It felt safe.
We have done so much, but listing it would make it seem insignificant. I can't say we travelled all that much, or did anything interesting, but I've had the most fun I've had in a long time, despite getting a kidney infection for a week (over my birthday, hence lack of self celebratory words).
It's a difficult place to be in at the moment. We don't know what the future holds, and are already trying to make plans for the next visit, but with both parties uncertain about what lies ahead, it seems impossible.
More will follow when I collect my thoughts and can remember some of the fun things we did (Hershey Park and NYC were highlights though). I'm off to have a foot massage now courtesy of the wonder that is Kyle.
